05 DAYS MEDAN-ORANGUTAN-TANGKAHAN TROPICAL ADVENTURE

Day 1 MEDAN – BUKIT LAWANG
Arrival in Medan the capital of North Sumatera Province then drive to Bukit Lawang, passing through Binjai and some small towns. En-route stops at of rubber, oil palm and cacao plantations with some countryside landscape. Arrive in Bukit Lawang check at Bukit Lawang Cottage Or Similar for overnight (simple but clean accommodation).
Day 2 VISIT THE ORANG UTAN SITE (B)
After breakfast. Visit Orang Utan rehabilitation center, walk along the Bohorok riverbank to the crossing point and crossover the river by small canoe to the Orang Utan rehabilitation center. Hiking up to the feeding site of Orang Utan to see the activities of those illegally captured and young Orang Utans who are trained to return to their natural habitat. Afternoon back to the hotel. Bukit Lawang Cottage Or Similar
OPTIONAL:
You can trek about 2-3 hours deeper in the park to explore more tropical flora and fauna. Steep, slopes and dense vegetation will bring you the excitement of the jungle.
Remarks:
Whom are bringing camera/video in the Orangutan site will be charged additional Rp 50,000 for camera and Rp150,000 for video.
Day 3 BUKIT LAWANG – TANGKAHAN BY LOCAL JEEP (B)
After breakfast at hotel driving three hours by jeep to Tangkahan, a peaceful jungle retreat situated at the other side of Gunung Leuser National Park far as touristy as Bukit Lawang. Today you will drive over plantation tracks and rural areas, a bit bumpy but great fun. Arrival Tangkahan crossing the river by canoe to reach your accommodation. Afternoon free or you can take optional elephant ride patrolling the forest or to see and to help the elephant bathing in the river (at personal account) Accommodation at Mega Inn Or Similar.

Breakfast at hotel, free at own leisure, There are plenty of activity. Elephant ride patrolling the forest, safari river (inner tubing down the river),enjoy the beautiful hot springs, shower under jungle waterfall and to watch and to help elephant bathing in the river. All options at own expenses. Accommodation at Mega Inn Or Similar.
Day 5 TANGKAHAN – MEDAN AIRPORT (B)
After breakfast at hotel, crossing river and returning to Medan. On the first two hours you will drive over bumpy plantation tracks. After this part you will drive over normal road about 3 and half hours till you reach Medan - Tour End

- Accommodations in Tangkahan are basic, built with simple materials to keepin harmony with nature. Electricity run by own generator and not available after 21:00 pm. Room is equipped with mosquito net and has own bathroom which comes with shower with cold water (no hot water).
Day 4 TANGKAHAN FREE DAY (B)
Breakfast at hotel, free at own leisure, There are plenty of activity.
